North Pacific Divers is proud to offer many construction diving services including; video or visual inspections, dredging/jetting, pipeline/outfall work, maintenance of all marine equipment (travelling screens, ships, water intakes and outfalls and much more), geothermal installations, enviromental clean up, bridge and dock inspection, supporting large infrastructure construction, supply diving support for dock and bridge construction, welding/cutting, salvage and underwater hydraulic tool work. We are always open to inquiries as the list is endless. If it happens underwater we have probably done it. We also offer non diving services such as; vessel support for your project, fabrication of marine equipment and confined space work. Through affiliate companies North Pacific can provide ROV's for inspection or diver support roles.
North Pacific is committed to safety. All of our crew are current in all WCB required certifications, additional workplace certifications and conduct practice drills to ensure readiness in these areas. Our employees receive over $5000 yearly in related skills training. This includes everything from; inspection courses, to rigging, welding and gear maintenance.
The Diver Certification Board of Canada certifies all levels of Commercial Divers. All divers are a minimum of Unrestricted Surface Supplied Divers and comply with WorkSafe BC regulations to dive within the province of British Columbia.
Divers also receive training in Under water welding, bridge inspection, Dive Helmet Maintenance and other related skills at the Carpenters International Training Center.
First Aid
All crew have a minimum of OFA Level 1 and Oxygen Therapy.
Many crew members have higher level or additional certifications.
Divers are trained in industry skills by instructors from Pile Drivers, Divers, Bridge, Dock and Wharf Builders Local 2404 Western Canada.
Confined Space, Rigging and Signalling, Dive Supervision, Welding certifications, First Aid Training and Fall Protection are some of the skills learned by our divers.
North Pacific is able to and experienced in working from our boats, our trailer on land or from larger vessels and pile driving rigs.
Although it is impossible to foresee everything and the past can not predict the future over the last 10 years we have not had any lost time due to equipment malfunction or breakdown. In addition employees attend regular courses on equipment maintenance and any equipment needing repair is tagged and set aside for repair when larger projects are completed.
Employees are provided the Kirby Morgan Hat Technician Course.
Gear is maintained to a high level during daily, monthly and yearly standardized inspections.
NPD has a number of underwater hydraulic tools including 45lb hammer drill for drilling concrete or rock, chain saw for cutting timber, and 4 inch trash pump for jetting or removal of material. The hydraulic pack is portable and capable of running any hydraulic tool at 5 or 10 gallons per min.
